The technology portfolio for improved chemical resistance offers rubber compounds especially designed to resist to most of the alkaline solutions specified in the chemical and process industry as well as in the latest gear lubricants, engine oil, bio-carburant and blow-by gases.

 

 

 

FKM/FPM: fluorocarbons are high temperature oil/fluid resistant elastomers capable of providing a very wide chemical compatibility range. The basis of the different compounds is the incorporation of fluorine into the polymer chain, as you increase the fluorine concentration within the polymer, the greater the chemical resistance of the compound. Special grades deliver optimum base, sour gas/hydrogen sulfur resistance.

FEPM: this elastomer is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and propylene. The fluorine contributes to the very good fluid resistance and temperature capability. Some media become more aggressive in a mixture with other media despite appearing to be compatible and will damage seals made of NBR, EPDM or FKM.

HNBR: those special types, besides the overall excellent mechanical, dynamic and low temperature properties, as well as a high resistance to heat, oils and abrasion can be designed to suit the latest biodiesel fuels and high performance engines. This is achieved using grades with very high acrylonitrile (ACN) content.
